Ceasefire: Justified move of Govt?

After a step back for one month, the Indian Army now sounds the bugle to pull ahead its operation all out to eliminate the elements posing threat to the crown of India. But this one month has cost India a lot and India’s declaration of unilateral ‘Ceasefire’ to spread the message of peace and harmony in the holy month of Ramdan has backfired on India. The militants understand nothing but the language of bullet and they have no religious values to adhere to. And so the appeasement politics has taken a heavy toll on India. The turbulence erupted after the declaration continues to claim lives of our bravehearts and the terrorism is surging high from root to the crest of the Kashmir valley with the aid of Pakistan and under the shades of Ramdan ceasefire. In the last two days 3 of our jawans and one renowned journalist have been martyred including the heinous murder of a Jawan of 44 RR, Aurangjeb.

The decision of announcing 'ceasefire', when the enemy was already in the radar, was unjust and it led the valley into more turmoil and chaos. The aforesaid incidents are the fruits of the frivolous politics behind the declaration. It is enough to shut the mouth of the fundamentalists. And now the question arises “Should the Army have stopped the ops when it had already brought clouds of terror in the valley of militants?” The silence of the Army guns helped the militants in mobilization and mustering support for them among the Islam fanatics to help them in fleeing away whenever clash precipitates with Army. In the meantime, though the Indian Army has foiled many reinforcement attempts ,it has been unable to catch the terrorists because of the backing of the locals. And the Army has shown an exemplary restraint in the holy month honoring the religious values of Islam which cost the loss of its men and has unnerved the soldiers.

Nevertheless, with an unequivocal and timely step, the Centre has dropped its unilateral ceasefire turning down the proposal of J&K CM  to extend it for the Amarnath yatra. And the army is all set to embark on its Ops all out to seek vengeance of the death of its men. Not a single drop of blood of our martyrs will go in vain. And as the nation wants, this time the army should be free of all the political constraints and given full power to handle the mobs and terrorists according to the need of the hour.  The militants spreading terror in our motherland should be gunned down at the sight without a second thought. No compromise should be made with the security of India and everything that pose a threat to Kashmir should be eliminated promptly. This time, the Govt. should take care that no petty politics impedes the way of the Army.
